50 Free Cards from Shutterfly

I was talking with my creative cohort at work today (Shout out to Staci at All My Little Pixels!!! I told you I would follow you tonight.) and we had to go to one of our favorite sites, Tatertots & Jello to see what she had posted from the day before. What did we find but this post about "50 Free Cards" from Shutterfly! Well I love cards, but I love free even better. I went immediately to the site and I am in total love!!! The Christmas cards are too many to even choose from, how can anyone possibly even pick just one design. I am wondering if I can just get one of each card, but then I would certainly have a panic attack trying to figure out which card went to each family member and friend!!!

If you are a blogger, then you can sign up here. Look at some of these gorgeous designs and I know you will be just like me and be able to wax poet all over the place about what a great place Shutterfly is and how wonderful they are to put this offer out there for all us bloggers.

PaPa Morris

I thought that this was cute but at the same time it did cause me some concern. My mother in law made mention to me a conversation she had with my son the other day when she picked the kids up from school. Chase got in the car and just out of the blue told her that he wished he was dead so that he could go to heaven and see PaPa Morris. PaPa Morris is my mother in law's father who passed away in 2003. Chase never really knew him at all. I'm not sure if he actually even saw him twice before he passed away (Chase wasn't even a year old when PaPa Morris died.) But we often talk of PaPa Morris and I guess this is where he heard something from. My mother in law was very quick to say that PaPa Morris could wait and that Chase had a very long time to live and that PaPa Morris wanted him to live it to the fullest. I'm not sure that his five year old brain understands this as he is still talking about it today.

We went out to eat at Spanky's after Ryleigh's karate practice today, and of course Chase can't go to a restaurant that he doesn't have to use the restroom after he eats. As we are in the restroom, Chase doing his business, he informs me that he wants to be ghost so that he can see his PaPa Morris in heaven. It's a little better then his saying he wants to die, but it kind of means the same thing, and I'm still a touch concerned. I do however think it is sweet that he keeps a man he never knew alive in his thoughts.

Hopefully, we never have to hear him say that he sees dead people!!!

Getting Started

Getting started is the hardest thing to do with these blogs. I have never been able to come up with a name for the blog, nothing really interesting happens or I just plain don't have time. But I have wanted to do this for a while, so here it goes.

I plan to use this as electronic diary of all the things going on in my life and if something that I say or something that happens makes you laugh, great!! We have some weird customs in my family and just maybe I will post them here. I have also quit smoking after 17 years and I am currently trying out all sorts of new hobbies to keep my hands and my brain occupied. I would like to share my progress here so that there is a record that I did it.

I look forward to the journey.
